M&CSaatchi PR invests in digital globally

Global communications agency M&C Saatchi PR has appointed Christopher Brown as Head of Digital. This hire follows the launch earlier this year of the agency’s digital Influencer Squad and its commitment to bolstering its global digital capabilities.

As Head of Digital, Brown will be responsible for leading M&C Saatchi PR’s in-house digital team of nine and strengthening its digital offering across markets, from brand, social and channel strategy, SEO and web development to social crisis and community management as well as influencer marketing. Brown will also be overseeing digital strategy and activity across the agency’s portfolio of key international clients, including Virgin Active, Lipton Ice Tea and Currys PC World. He also brings with him new client Google DeepMind.

Previously Head of Content, Social Media and Digital Experience for M&C Saatchi PR’s longest standing client, Dixons Carphone Group, Brown makes the move into agency world, having spent 10 years client side. In his previous role, Brown established and led content, social media and digital experience divisions across all of the Dixons Carphone Group brands. He’s won multiple awards, from Retail Week’s Rising Star Award for Marketing in 2015 to being shortlisted for Customer Experience Team of the Year for his work at Dixons.
