The Rolls-Royce Art Programme is world renowned and, last night, M&C Saatchi PR’s UAE team celebrated the first ever Emirati artist’s involvement with an exclusive unveiling of Mr Mohammed Kazem’s artwork, commissioned exclusively for the Programme at Manarat Al Saadiyat.
Our client, Abu Dhabi Motors, partnered with Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) to produce an exclusive event for media, prospective buyers and VIPs to witness the first public unveiling of Kazem’s masterpieces – a bespoke art sculpture and Rolls-Royce Wraith motor car.
Marking an exciting moment for the marque and Abu Dhabi’s vibrant and thriving art scene – and in a nod to the artist’s particular interest in using latitude and longitude coordinates in his work – the theme of the evening took inspiration from three significant locations: St Gallen – the studio where Kazem created the sculpture; the home of Rolls Royce, Goodwood – the main inspiration for both sculpture and car, and Abu Dhabi, representing the artist’s UAE roots and location of the reveal.
Mohammed Kazem’s fascination in using co-ordinates in his work were demonstrated by the inclusion of the localities of craftspeople who worked on the car, which were reflected in both pieces. The sculpture, made of metal, comprises a stack of these data points melted together to form an abstract shape, while the roof lining of the accompanying car includes a unique starlight headliner displaying the same coordinates as the sculpture, linking the two pieces through this exclusive artistic feature.
If you’re in the UAE over Ramadan, don’t miss out on viewing the both the sculpture and motor car at Abu Dhabi Motors!
